In serious need of an update!

I can't believe it's been so long since my last post! I've got all kinds of ideas cooked up and not enough time to get them all put together, but I promise to get on it SOON! In the meantime, here's what's been keeping me so busy lately!

Jack is 8 months old with two little teeth sprouting!

Obviously babies keep mommas reasonably occupied - but this little guy is just so much fun that I can't help but to play with him every second he's awake and snuggle with him when he's napping. And then of course there's what I call my domestic engineering - I try to sneak a few chores in here and there.

Sitting like a champ

So at 8 months he's been eating solids and sitting up for a couple of months now, talking up a storm with mama, dada, baba, gaga, even a few t's and mumbled r's in there. He has NO interest in crawling (thank goodness, he's much more manageable when he's in one place) but he loves to stand and jump.

It hasn't been all baby mania - I've managed to squeeze in some fun elsewhere - like the Blogger Meetup! I didn't take any pictures, so I borrowed some from the amazing Olga's blog Vintage Pretty - thanks for taking such great photos!

Signature cocktails and good friends!

In March, my husband and I attended the annual Nordstrom Fashion Show at the Portland Art Museum. This year we went with our good friends Sarah (from the fabulous blog The Confessions of a Product Junkie ) and her boyfriend Carter. We tried on Missoni and Oscar de la Renta gowns and gossiped throughout the show while sipping fabulous cocktails. It was so much fun!

The of course there was the Portland Urban Iditarod - our theme this year was "Put a Bird On It"

I cut out a bajillion bird silhouettes and we stuck them on every man, woman and shopping cart in the race. Needless to say, we had a pretty awesome time running around the Portland streets drinking brewskies and screaming our faces off. I had no voice for a couple of days.

So that sums it up - I'll be getting back to my interior design roots with my next post!
